This Privacy Policy explains how the Greater Millville Chamber of Commerce ("GMCC," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information you provide when you sign up for our Text Message Alert Program ("Program") at gmcc-text-alerts.netlify.app.
Information We Collect
When you sign up for the Program, we collect:
- Your full name
- Your business name (if applicable)
- Your email address
- Your mobile phone number
- The alert categories you choose to receive
- Your consent signature and the date/time of your opt-in
How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide solely to operate the Text Message Alert Program, including sending you the SMS/MMS alerts you have opted in to receive (such as member business deals and discounts, Chamber event reminders and registration deadlines, and Chamber news and advocacy updates), and to manage your subscription preferences and honor opt-out requests.
No Sharing of Mobile Information
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the categories of information described above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties, except as required to provide the messaging service itself (for example, our SMS platform provider, Twilio, which transmits messages on our behalf) or as required by law. We do not sell, rent, or trade your mobile phone number to anyone.
Message Frequency, Rates, and Opting Out
Message frequency varies based on Chamber activity and the alert categories you select. Message and data rates may apply. You may cancel the Program at any time by texting "STOP" to any message you receive from us. After you send "STOP," we will send you a confirmation message and you will no longer receive messages from the Program. If you would like to receive alerts again, sign up as you did the first time. For help at any time, text "HELP" to any message, or contact the Chamber directly using the information below.
Carriers
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Data Retention and Security
We retain the information collected through the Program for as long as needed to operate the Program, respond to opt-out requests, and comply with applicable legal and recordkeeping obligations. We take reasonable steps to protect the information you provide from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us using the information below. You may withdraw your consent to receive text messages at any time by replying STOP.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
